Miss Jen

Miss Jen Russell has a broad history of dance training that started in 1981 with her study of ballet at Pelio’s School of Dance in Flint, Michigan, where she was certified through level V in Cecchetti Ballet. During her studies, Miss Jen had the dance as a member of the Junior Company of the Flint Ballet Theatre and was also a soloist for Danse Michigan and the Claire City Ballet. She danced with Joffrey Ballet in 1996 and had the opportunity to study under Mia Michaels. She has been in full length ballets including Aurora’s Wedding, The Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland and The Four Seasons, excerpts from Firebird and Swan Lake, the Western Michigan University’s Spring Expo, Halo Burger commercials, and Joffrey’s PBS documentary on Midwestern talent. Jennifer began teaching at the age of 16 for Pelio’s as well as K&C Learning Center and Dance and Fitness Connection. She taught for two years in South Carolina at Bailey Fine Arts and was able to choreograph for the Miss Spring Valley and Miss Teen Columbia Pageants. She joined the Boni’s team in 2006 and started her work with BET TOO in 2010. Recently, she has participated in dance teacher training with The Pulse in NYC, Jump and OKLA.
